Eligibility

This Portrait of New York State Artists Giveaway is open to all New York State artists who are currently residents of New York State, and identify as artists, and are at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2022. Please void where prohibited by law.

Sponsor

Creatives Rebuild New York, A Project of Tides (CRNY) is sponsoring this Giveaway. CRNY, Tides, and its respected affiliates, representatives, employees, and directors and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.

Time Period

The Portrait of New York State Artists Giveaway begins on February 14, 2022 and ends on May 31, 2022 (extended from the original deadline of May 2, 2022).

Directions

To enter, applicants to CRNY’s Guaranteed Income for Artists and Artist Employment Programs can follow the link to the Portrait of New York State Artists questionnaire after submitting their application in Submittable. The questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, with questions about your artistic practice, financial circumstances, well-being, pandemic experience, and attitudes about policy and advocacy matters. All questions are optional. To enter the Giveaway without completing the questionnaire, send an email to info@creativesrebuildny.org with your name, address, email address, and an attestation that you are an artist who resides in New York State.

Confidentiality

Your participation and responses will be treated as strictly confidential. All responses will be anonymized before they are analyzed, and respondents will not be identified in any outputs created from the project’s data. CRNY will establish and maintain appropriate security measures designed to ensure the confidentiality of participant information and to prevent unauthorized access, destruction, loss, or alteration of such data.

Accessibility

The questionnaire is available in English and Spanish. To complete the questionnaire in another language, or if you need someone to respond on your behalf because of limited access to broadband or Wi-Fi, a disability that bars your access, or any other circumstances, please email info@creativesrebuildny.org.

Limit on Entry  

Limit one (1) entry per person. Additional entries may be disqualified.  Entries submitted by third parties may be disqualified.  Entries must be submitted by the participant.  No copies, facsimiles, or mechanical reproductions of the entry form will be accepted.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple and/or different identities, forms, registrations, email addresses, logins, or any other methods will disqualify that participant’s entries, and that participant and/or entries may be disqualified.  Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address.  In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the participant.  The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.  Entries specifying an invalid, non-working, or inactive email address will be disqualified. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or untimely entries will be disqualified.  

Selection of Winner

On or about May 31, 2022, Sponsor will select the name of potential winner(s) of prize(s) in a random drawing from among all entries received.  The potential winner(s) will be notified by email and/or telephone the week of May 31, 2022.  Except where legally prohibited, potential Prize winner(s) must sign and return, within seven (7) days of being notified, an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release in order to claim their prize.    

Prizes

Three prizes will be awarded which consist of (1) an iPad Pro 12.9” worth up to $1500; (2) Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones worth up to $400; and (3) a one-year membership to a museum or cultural institution of your choice worth up to $200. Additional terms and conditions may apply. Prizes are nontransferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is permitted. Each prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by CRNY. Limit one prize per person. Winner will be notified via email and phone. Inability of CRNY to contact the winner within seventy-two hours after selection, may result in disqualification of that winner and an alternative winner may be selected. Prize will be sent to winner by U.S. mail within fourteen days after winner has been notified and accepted the prize. If prize is returned undeliverable, then the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be randomly drawn.

Odds

The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.
